Freegive Group. Freegive is made up of groups with members across the world. Freegive connects people who are giving and getting unwanted items for free in their own towns. It's all about recycle, reuse and keeping good stuff out of landfills. It's completely free to join. Freegive Community Recycling Group and Freegive Yahoo Recycling Group.
Freegive Directory. Freegive has lunched a free classified directory. This is another opportunity for freegive users to benefit from. It's completely free and registration is simple. How do I find a group to join
- Find a group near you by entering it into the Group Search Box or by clicking on Group Page or Browse The Groups.
- You will be taken to select your group page then click on the group name and you will be taken to your
group information page.
Click on the link - Visit the main your group name Yahoo! Group page to go to the Freegive Yahoogroups website and click `Join this Group`. You will be asked to `sign in` using your `Yahoo ID` and password. If you
don't yet have a Yahoo ID, you should `Sign Up` which takes just a few seconds. Once you have signed in to Yahoo, you should automatically see the `Join this Group` page. Simply follow the on screen instructions, click `Join` and
that is it. You need to be subscribed to a group before you can post a message.
How to join Freegive Group without yahoo email address
- Do I need a Yahoo! email address to use Freegive Yahoo! Groups?
No. Although if you want to use the Yahoogroups website, you will need a Yahoo ID..

- By Email: ( No Yahoo ID required )
- Send a blank email to groupname-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
- Wait a few minutes, and you will receive an email from Yahoogroups.com
- Reply to this email.
- Make sure to replace "groupname" with the actual name of the group (e.g., californiafreegive-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com).

- Under the Group information tab, you should see links, Visit the main groupname Yahoo! Group page.
- Click on the link to go to the Freegive Yahoogroups website and then scroll down to the bottom of that main local group page.
- You should see your group subscribe email address. (groupname-subscribe@yahoogroups.com)
- Example Step 1: Send a blank email to: lambethfreegive-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
- Step 2: When you receive the email asking you to confirm your subscription click on the link provided.
this will take you to a webpage.
Scroll down to the bottom of that page and click where it says:
"join the mailing list only"
- This will let you receive the messages on the list as emails, as well as give you the ability to post messages to the list via email;
on the other hand you will not have the ability to visit the group page and see the messages online or modify your
group preferences via the web interface.
You will still be able to do these things through email (links are provided at the end of each message you will receive,
and will allow you most of the controls you need such as changing the delivery as well as unsubscribing from the group)

- NOTE: Depending on how the group is managed - some groups may require you to answer a short
questionnaire before being accepted as a member. Please check your in-box (or sometimes trash / spam folders) for any

- Format the message like this: When you are a member, you send an email (or post a message via the group website), to the group, with the following information :-
- Subject: OFFER (your item) (your location)
- Text/Body: Describe the item you offer.
- (Do not include your phone number / exact address in your email)
- If someone wants your item(s), you can exchange contact information at that time. Find out more
- I am looking for something. How do I ask the group ?
- You send an email (or post a message via the group website), to the group, with the following information :-
- Subject: WANTED (your item) (your location)
- Text/Body: Describe the item you want .
- (Do not include your phone number / exact address in your email)
- If someone has the item you are looking for and no longer wants it, they will contact you and you can arrange to pick it up at that time.

Respond to an Offer or Wanted request
- If you want to respond to an OFFER, or a WANTED request, please direct the reply to the
person making the offer/wanted request.
- You can do this either by
email, or on the Yahoogroups website,

you are viewing the specific message
